Health
Nutrition and personal body awareness with acceptance and pride is critical at this age!
The training that our staff has obtained in the subject matter of proper movement, positive reinforcement, and nutrition knowledge can help facilitate this.
Performance
Our goals as they pertain to performance are based on General Physical Preparedness (GPP) ideology. Exercise physiologists agree that there are 10 general physical skills that optimize physical performance. They are Cardio/Respiratory performance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy. The idea of GPP is to produce an athlete that has no weaknesses. Our goal is not to produce one-dimensional athletes. Preparing and eliminating weakness will prepare any youth for the expected and the unexpected in sport and in life.
Function
We intend to give these athletes life skills as it pertains to moving their body correctly with body weight and external loads. Using functional movement patterns in our workouts, we can train our kids how to pick things up, reach overhead, produce more power, etc… efficiently and safely. These are movement patterns that are repeated and memorized by these athletes and will persist into adulthood.
