What makes Elevation Health PC Different?

At our practice, you’ll spend more time with our team than at a typical clinic. This allows us to focus on proactive care, use fewer medications, and prioritize lifestyle approaches. You’ll also have direct access to us via email, text, phone, or virtual visits.

Why should I pay a monthly fee for your service if I already have insurance?

Unlike typical primary care offices that charge co-pays, high visit fees, and extra for labs, this office includes basic labs, offers major discounts on additional tests, and has no co-pays. we provide transparent pricing and longer visits (30–60 minutes vs. 5–10 elsewhere), making care more affordable and comprehensive—especially for patients with high-deductible insurance plans who pay out-of-pocket anyway.

What if I have to go to the hospital?

If you're hospitalized, a doctor or hospitalist will manage your care. After discharge, Heather Peters, FNP, will follow up with you. We'll get your hospital records and add them to your chart.

Lab work, how does this work and where do you send it?

Blood work is done in-office and usually requires fasting for 8–12 hours—stay hydrated with plenty of water. We use Labcorp in Burlington, NC, with a courier picking up samples daily. Results typically take 24–48 hours. You can bill through us (basic labs included, others heavily discounted) or use insurance, but coverage varies. We can provide a total cost so you can check with your insurance and decide what works best.

Does Heather Peters, FNP do gynecological exams in the office or does she refer out?

With your consent, Heather can perform in-office breast exams, pap smears, and bimanual exams. If you're not comfortable, we’re happy to refer you to a gynecologist. This service is available to all “of age” female patients. If done here, you’ll only pay the lab fee for the pap (about $30); we don’t charge anything else. Once results are in, Heather will follow up with you, and if anything abnormal shows up, we’ll refer you as needed.

Can I use my health savings account (HSA) to pay?

Yes, absolutely! Anything we order—meds, labs, imaging—can be submitted for FSA or HSA reimbursement using pre-tax dollars.

Plus, our low costs mean you'll use less of your HSA/FSA, leaving more funds available for future needs.

Feel free to email us at manager@elevationhealthpc.com to arrange a free meet and greet to determine if we are the right medical team to meet your needs.

What if I'm still not sure?

I have a low deductible, low copays and great medication coverage on my insurance. Why should I pay more for DPC?

In addition to TIME, you have ACCESS and to our team 24/7 rather than going to the ER after hours or on weekends. We are available via phone, text, or virtually to discuss your concerns. You also get a real HUMAN on the line when you call the office.
